In April 2013, we took the show on the road to Appleton and offered separate Accessible Literature workshops for professionals who work with older adults and for individuals with low vision. More than 40 people attended presentations by our vision rehabilitation teacher and representatives from the Appleton Public Library, the Outagamie Waupaca Library System, and the Office for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Participants learned about the accessibility options available from their local library, new tablets, and audio books that help make reading easy, enjoyable and fun in spite of vision challenges. We are grateful to our workshop sponsors: the Wisconsin Energy Foundation and the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.
