On Saturday, December 3, WCVBI will join transit riders and allies at Milwaukee Area Technical College for a one-day transportation summit, Arrive Together: Building a 21st Century Transportation System for Wisconsin, to engage in the vital conversation about transportation priorities.

Transportation is vital.  It connects people to jobs, healthcare, the grocery store, places of worship, school and more. For people who aren't able to drive, can't afford to drive or do not want to drive, getting from point A to point B can be expensive, burdensome - even impossible. This makes our conversation on December 3 incredibly important, and we want you to be a part of it.

This event includes a light breakfast, lunch and a social hour; a keynote address that is open to the public; a talk by Sierra Club President Aaron Mair and breakout groups and training sessions for equitable transportation and transit advocates. US Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx has also been invited to speak at this event and to attend the morning listening session. Come for the plenary session at 10:30 am or stay for the whole day!

Transportation to the summit will be available including a coach bus from Madison and carpooling options at different sites across the state. Registration is required. Tickets are available through the Council. Please contact Gale Hellpap at 608-237-8113 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
