For any of us, uncertainty and change can be stressful. Given the need for social distancing, some of us may feel isolated or lonely. Even with coping strategies, it can be helpful to reach out for additional support.

Here are a variety of resources that you or a loved one may find useful.

COVID-19: Resilient Wisconsin

This site, published by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is a rich source for coping strategies and recognizing and managing stress. There are resources for older adults, parents and those with mental health concerns.

Institute on Aging Friendship Line

Based in California, this is a 24-hour phone line for adults age 60 and older and adults living with disabilities. Reach out to the Friendship Line for support, including if you are having thoughts of harming yourself. Call 800-971-0016.

Virtual Recovery Programs

If you need to connect to a 12-step program on the phone or virtually, you can call the AA Meeting Finder at 833-758-0481.

Virtual Low Vision Support Group

The International Low Vision Support Group offers monthly TeleSupport over the phone. Learn more by calling 888-866-6148.
