Are you a person with vision loss who creates art, or do you know someone else who is? We are looking for artists to feature at Fall Gallery Night 2022, scheduled for Friday, November 4.
Every year, the Council offers a showcase of art created by artists living with vision loss. The past two years, our Gallery Night event has been 100% virtual. This fall, we’re presenting a hybrid Gallery Night: an in-person gathering while simultaneously capturing the highlights for those unable to come to Madison. We will also feature the pieces in an online virtual gallery that will be available on our website long after the live event.
Exhibiting your art at Gallery Night is a great way to showcase your work and help others to learn about the diverse talents and contributions of people who are blind and visually impaired. Over the decade we have been hosting Gallery Night events, participating artists have ranged from seasoned professionals to relative novices getting their first public exposure.
All art forms are welcome: painting, photography, sculpture, woodworking, fiber arts, and more. We encourage participating artists to offer their pieces for sale, with the Council retaining 20% of the sale price.
To apply to be featured at Gallery Night, submit three to five photos of your work via email to Communications Director Bob Jacobson at BJacobson@WCBlind.org by August 15, 2022. You can email Bob or call him at 608-237-8111 with questions.
