Governor Tony Evers to Lay Out Upcoming Budget and Policy Priorities

The Wisconsin Legislature is preparing for a busy year as lawmakers begin to craft a new two-year state budget. In the coming weeks, Governor Tony Evers will kick off the deliberations with two speeches in which he will lay out his priorities. Those two speeches are his State of the State address on Wednesday, January 22 at 7 p.m. and his Budget Address on Tuesday, February 18 at 7 p.m.

In the months ahead, there will be opportunities for you to reach out to your elected representatives to weigh in on the issues that matter to you. If you would like to learn more about how to get involved in the state budget process and advocate for your own priorities, we encourage you to join us this spring both virtually and in-person at the State Capitol for the Council’s annual Advocacy Days. Stay tuned to our On Sight e-newsletter, website and social media for more information on 2025 Advocacy Days in the coming weeks.
