New Ways of Accessing Braille Content

Date: November 18, 2021
Time: 4:00 PM

Online via Zoom

As anyone who uses braille knows, braille books can take up a lot of space and be difficult to transport. Refreshable braille, or electronic braille, is a great way to reduce these space requirements. This presentation will demonstrate several new refreshable braille displays, including the new NLS eReader, which make downloading, accessing and reading braille materials much easier. You won’t believe how incredibly easy it is to read a braille book from BARD or skim through the latest news from NFB Newsline.

To register for this class, please RSVP by Tuesday, November 16. You can RSVP by emailing Jim Denham at JDenham@WCBlind.org or calling him at 608-237-8104.

A refreshable braille device sits atop a table. The black, plastic display shows ten braille cells, of white four feature brailled characters.
