Birding By Ear

Find joy in birding, even if you cannot see the bird!

This class is for beginning birders who want to learn a new skill or how to bird in a new way. This two-part class teaches the techniques and songs for identifying birds by listening. The class is fully accessible for persons who are blind or visually impaired, and includes both indoor and outdoor components. The registration fee is $20 per person.

Attend one of the indoor sessions and one of the outdoor session.

Indoor Sessions

Thursday, May 30, 6-8 p.m. OR Saturday, June 1, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: Conference room at WCBVI. 754 Williamson Street, Madison, WI

Outdoor Sessions

Thursday, June 6, 6-8 p.m. OR Saturday, June 8, 8-10 a.m.
Location: TBD (ideally Pheasant Branch Conservancy, Marina Drive location, but depends on their flood recovery timeline)
