The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is holding a series of nine Town Hall meetings around the state that begin this week and continue through May 21. DOT staff will gather feedback from attendees regarding what transportation issues are most important to them and ideas for financing those needs in the next state budget and beyond.
The Town Hall meetings will take place in La Crosse, Madison, Superior, Eau Claire, Wausau, Green Bay, Oshkosh, West Allis, and Kenosha. Each event runs from 5-6:30 p.m.
WisDOT staff will videotape short statements from the public responding to the question “Why is transportation important to me?” The video clips will be posted to their website. You can also send statements to WisDOT via the web at www.dot.wi.gov.
