Our online auction is open now through November 15! Support the work of the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired by bidding on items at www.biddingforgood.com/wcbvi. Bidding ends at 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 15.
Items up for bid include piano lessons, cookbook gift baskets, jewelry, stained glass art, children’s books, restaurant gift cards, and an autographed Green Bay Packers football!
We will purchase a braille embosser with the funds we raise. The Council strongly believes in making our written materials available in the preferred format of our readers. An embosser is essential for providing braille to our staff, board, volunteers, and readers of our newsletters. A braille embosser prints braille on both sides of a page, and creates multiple copies in a timely manner, from documents created on a computer. To make the number of copies needed, and of the quality expected by our readers, we need a working backup embosser to use when our older one needs repair or cleaning. Without a backup, the repair process would leave us without an embosser for six to eight weeks.
Bid often and feel free to overbid!
