Financial gifts in this last month of the year are vital to all who rely on the Council for services, support and information. As you plan your year-end giving, please consider making a meaningful gift to the Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired.
Here are a few examples that can help move someone from isolation to independence:
$12 – ream of braille paper
$25 – half hour of interpretive services for a client who does not speak English
$35 – white cane
$80 – low vision evaluation done by a Certified Low Vision Therapist
$160 – two hour in-home visit by a Vision Rehabilitation Therapist to share tips for cooking, medication management, daily living tasks, and home safety
$350 – statewide webinar to provide free training about various topics related to eye health, vision loss, and adaptive products
You may have already received a request from the Council in your mailbox with a convenient reply envelope. If you prefer to give online, you can do so at WCBlind.org. Any size contribution will be appreciated.
All gifts are used to bring the Council’s mission and core values to life. Each service or product empowers someone with vision loss to live with confidence. Thank you for your support!
