If you are a Wisconsin student who is blind or visually impaired, consider applying for a $2,000 scholarship from the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired.

Scholarships are available for post-secondary students attending a two-year college, technical college or four-year university, as well as graduate programs. The application period is now open!

Download the Application Packet

The application packet is downloaded as a Microsoft Word file (.docx). It contains a letter overviewing the program, detailed instruction, the application form itself, a form verifying visual impairment, and a photo release form.

Completed applications are due no later than Friday, April 9, 2021.

The Council awards up to ten scholarships annually as part of our mission to promote the dignity and empowerment of the people in Wisconsin who are blind and visually impaired.

Awards have typically been presented at our annual luncheon. This year’s luncheon has been cancelled. Alternative plans will be made for honoring recipients.

Please note: We are accepting unofficial transcripts this year if official transcripts are unavailable due to school closings.
