Did you know the Council’s Board of Directors is made up of more than a dozen people, both with and without vision loss? These leaders are from all over the state and bring a variety of experiences to the board.

Nick Sinram is an assistant attorney for the city of Milwaukee and in his third year on the Council’s Board of Directors. The 31-year-old considers it a valuable opportunity.

“It’s a wonderful way to give back,” Sinram says. “And though I’m still learning about the services provided by the Council to people who are visually impaired, I’m really proud of the work we do and would encourage anyone to apply.”

Sinram is also currently serving as the board’s treasurer. He describes the options for getting involved as being endless and exciting.
