Announcing two Dining in the Dark Dinners this Fall

Three women who are blindfolded sit at a table.
Dining in the Dark encourages diners to explore food using senses other than sight.

Get ready for a delicious, multi-course meal and lively discussion about how senses play a role in the dining experience. The Council and Vignette Dining Club are partnering to host two Dining in the Dark dinners this fall. The dates are Thursday, September 12 and Wednesday, October 23. Both meals are from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m., at a rural setting in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. These events have a unique twist: dinner guests eat while blindfolded.

“I love hosting this event,” says Mark Wroczynski, Vignette Dining Club chef and co-owner. “It is important to eat with all of our senses. If I can help people try new things and create memories, that is a bonus!”

Give it a try and discover how your other senses enhance enjoyment of food. Council staff will lead an after-dinner discussion about what they noticed during the experience.

Tickets are $50 per person, with all proceeds donated to the Council. Save your spot at the table by visiting WCBlind.org/dining-in-the-dark or call (608) 237-8114. We look forward to seeing you there.
