Your Legacy is the Council’s Future

A cut-out of a person holding two fists towards the sky with the words traits, behavior, abilities, narrative, beliefs, attitude, stories and more written on them.

It is truly an honor to be named in someone’s will. It is a privilege the Council acknowledges with deep gratitude.

In 2019, the Council received more than $300,000 in bequests from generous donors who cared deeply about providing services and resources for people who are blind or visually impaired. These six individuals felt so strongly about the Council’s mission that they included the Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired in their will.

The Council recognizes committed donors who arrange bequests gifts by inviting them to become a member of the Legacy Circle. These remarkable people see the value in advocacy, education and vision services that empower people with vision loss.

By knowing about your planned gift ahead of time, Council staff and board members have the opportunity to show appreciation for your thoughtfulness and foresight. Please contact Lori at LWerbeckes@WCBlind.org or (608) 237-8114 to learn more about becoming a member of the Legacy Circle.

Charitable giving takes many forms. Leaving a gift to WCBVI in your will is one way to ensure that the vital services provided by the Council will continue for generations.
