Try a New Hobby: Birding by Ear

A group of 20 people stands outside on a nature trail.

Birding by Ear participants and instructors from 2019.

To pass the time during quarantine, it might be fun to learn birding by ear or to freshen up your birdsong repertoire. This new hobby will start you on the path to identifying the birds that chirp, sing, whistle and make other sounds, right in your own backyard. To attend the online class, choose your session:

Thursday, May 28, 6-8 p.m. or Saturday, May 30, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The cost is $20 per person, and scholarships are available. Registration includes one indoor virtual class and one outdoor exploration virtual guided tour (dates TBA).

For additional information and to register, visit the Birding by Ear event page. This event is co-organized with the Madison Audubon.
