Council Visionaries Go Above and Beyond to Support Our Work

The Council relies on gifts of all kinds and sizes to enable us to empower people across Wisconsin who are blind or low vision. But some supporters go above and beyond in their generosity, giving $20,000 or more over their lifetimes. We call this group of committed donors Council Visionaries. Visionaries are some of our most passionate supporters who believe in our mission to support the dignity and independence of people with vision loss.

“It is an honor to be able to recognize these donors as pillars of support for the Council’s work,” says Development Director Lori Werbeckes. “We are grateful for their lifetime of commitment to ensuring people who are blind and low vision have the resources they need to succeed.”

One of the more recent people to become a Council Visionary is Bob Holloway. Bob is blind himself, and says he appreciates the Council’s efforts to help the blind and low vision community live the lives they choose. “I support the Council because it’s just the right thing to do,” Bob says. “Life has given me so much, and helping other people is important to me. The best thing I can do every day is to wake up and ask myself what good I can do today?’”
