The Council relies on funding from many different sources. People make individual gifts almost every day. Others contribute through workplace giving or by requesting a matching gift from their employer. The Council also receives a variety of grants to support our work. While some grants go towards supporting our day-to-day activities, others are directed toward a specific purpose.
Associated Bank has supported the Council through event sponsorships for over a decade. Recently, however, they’ve found a new way to help: They are funding our bus ads promoting Pedestrian Safety Month that will run in Waukesha and Green Bay in October. These ads remind drivers to keep pedestrians in mind whenever they approach an intersection. Thanks to the grant from Associated Bank, we can continue to support pedestrian safety for people across all parts of the state. If you live in Waukesha or Green Bay, keep an eye out for our bus ads this fall!
“We at Associated Bank are very proud to support the Council in their efforts to promote accessibility and independence throughout the blind and low vision community,” says John Duffy of Associated Bank.
Fund Development Director Lori Werbeckes of the Council adds, “Engaging new sponsorship partners helps spread the word about Council activities. In our request for support, potential funders learn how vital vision services are for people who are blind or low vision.”
