Debbie Rasmussen
The Council is excited to announce that Debbie Rasmussen has been named development director at the Council, succeeding Lori Werbeckes, who retired in December. Debbie first joined the Council staff as development coordinator in 2022.
“Debbie brings a deep commitment to the Council’s mission,” says Executive Director Denise Jess. “She has a genuine kindness about her and fosters authentic relationships. I’m so excited for our donors to connect with Debbie. I know she’ll bring valuable insights to the Council’s development efforts.”
As development director, Debbie will build strong relationships with those who believe in the Council’s mission while creating and executing strategies that make it easy for individuals and community partners who share our values to show their support. Debbie will focus on meeting the Council’s immediate financial needs while laying the groundwork for the Council to continue making a lasting impact for years to come.
“I’m so excited to build on the incredible work Lori has done to connect people with our mission, celebrate the stories that make the Council unique, and find ways to honor the Council’s rich history while imagining what’s possible for the future,” Debbie says.
As Debbie moves into her new position, Jodi Nachtwey has joined the Council team as development specialist.
Congratulations, Debbie!
