Start Something New this Fall! Be a Monthly Donor

An open planning notebook

Are you looking forward to Fall? The start of the school year, cooling temperatures and changing leaves may inspire you to think about starting something new. Would you consider being a new monthly donor to support the Council?

As a monthly donor, you are the Council’s financial backbone. You help us grow the funding that enables us to support people with vision loss to continue living independently. If you already give every month, we are grateful for you!

Still considering why to give? Here are some of the reasons our donors say they support the Council:

  • A grandparent chooses to give every month because she appreciates the white canes her grandson, who is visually impaired, receives for free to support his safety and independence.
  • Another donor is contributing because Council staff helped his mother safely adjust to living with age-related macular degeneration.
  • Several donors are also board members, and they feel supporting the Council financially is part of their commitment to making a difference for others.

A monthly gift of any amount, for example $20 each month adds up to $240 at the end of the year, is significant to the Council’s services and programs.

If you are ready to be a monthly donor this fall, or if you want to make a one-time gift, you can give via the Council’s website.
